Overall thoughts about the Book: Traces and Memoirs
We all experience a wide range of emotions in life, thanks to all the situations life throws at us and the path we chose. Voicing and emoting these emotions makes us human after all. And this book deals with the same thought. The author endeavors to present the realities of life through some fictional plots, some of which hits straight to the heart making you think through. There are a total of 26 short contemporary stories in this book, and each conveys an emotion, with the characters being reasonable and relatable. At the end of each story, there is a word that summarises it aptly, depicting the true emotion of the story.
What I like about the book is that all these stories have contexts from real-life issues from professional and personal life, parent-child communication, depression, mental health, and child abuse along with many others.
The narrative is simple yet demonstrative giving you enough time to think through the scene. Overall a good book, to make you think and relive emotions. If you like reading short stories you could pick this up on Kindle.
