How to soothe a colicky baby

One of the worst nightmares a sleep-deprived new parent may have is a crying baby. If the otherwise healthy baby cries for more than 3 hours for 3 days in a row could probably be due to colic pain. It peaks at around 6 weeks of age and though it can be any time of the day but evenings are the worst.

Indigestion is also common in infants and may be one of the reasons for Gas as they are still new in learning to suck, swallowing and digesting. Another reason for Gas could be the air swallowed while feeding and not burped.

The most important thing we should know

That Gas doesn’t cause colic but some colicky baby may suffer from gassiness. It is because they may swallow some air while crying.

To soothe a crying baby try to ease the pain by burping, warm water bathe or try a gentle massage.

Or the easiest way- try the new release by mamaearth “Easy Tummy Roll on”. It is extremely effective in helping babies pass gas easily and sleep peacefully. It contains hing oil which is known for its ability to reduce reflux that is formed in the stomach.
