There was a time, when my son was obsessed with everything wheels- from garbage trucks to construction trucks, from aeroplanes to submarines. He loved them all. We have tried sketching, painting, colouring or building all types of trucks with LEGO blocks in our homeschooling art projects. Here is a step by step tutorial of an underwater ocean theme art with a pista shell Submarine. This was one of our fun DIY projects with some waste and minimum art supllies.
Ingredients required to make a Pista shell painting
- few pistachio shells
- pencil to draw
- glue to stick the pistachio shells
- some crayons, watercolours or marker pens

Here is the step by step tutorial of our underwater ocean theme art with a pista shell Submarine.
Step1: Draw the outline of the Submarine
Step2: Start Pasting the Pista Shells
Step 3: fill in the window, tail and other details of the Submarine with crayons or Oil pastel colours.
Step 4: Using Water colours or crayons colours, paint the ocean blue
Step 5: Use the water colours and paint the pista shell submarine too
Step 6: Add some fishes, seaweeds and paint them. This is a totally optional step
.
