BloggingMy Friend Alexa 2018

I am Writing #MyFriendAlexa

Hello Friends,

This blog post is my first writing under #MyFriendAlexa blogging festival. This is the first time, I am taking part in something this huge. I am too nervous and equally excited to be a part of it. Being a part of a team with more than 220 bloggers ready to lose their Alexa ranking. gosh getting goosebumps already while writing this first post.

After micro-blogging, documenting my motherhood Journey for a while on closed Facebook and Instagram account, I finally started writing, exactly a year back in September 2017. And I found this an excellent opportunity to silently celebrate my FIRST blog writing birthday with #MyFriendAlexa.

Writing needs motivation

I feel that taking part in this blogging festival and filling the registration form took a lot of efforts from my side. As I have been on the laziest size of the scale (if there is any such scale) for the past 2 years. I have been either super active on my blog or have left it unattended and hungry for love, while I kept feeding and nursing my human baby.

While writing for My Friend Alexa blogging campaign, I feel too excited as I try to hide the anxiety and the (higher) chances of probability that my laziness would be taking me over and I might be leaving it mid-way.

I am writing this post so that I can come back here whenever I ever feel less motivated. As knowing myself for over 3 decades, it’s also quite possible that some genuine thoughts would come in and blame the good old me to get back to be in my lazy zone.

MyFriendAlexa, writing, blogging

What I expect from writing with #MyFriendAlexa?

As I recently shifted to my domain and working hard to polish my Blogging skills and getting my statistics right. I feel that taking part in this blog writing campaign will connect me back to my goal of writing, connecting and sharing the joys and relatively ‘lesser joys’ of my life. Apart from

  • Losing Alexa ranking, with each blog I shall document my Alexa Ranking and will see how the magic happens
  • Lots of reading – It seems like ages, I haven’t read much, surely looking forward to this one.
  • Meet like-minded bloggers- Opportunity to (virtually) meet interesting like-minded bloggers or writers and gaining lots of learning and feel motivated to write more.
  • Habitual change- Getting in habit of regular reading and writing and improving my skills

I am hopeful that it isn’t going to be just generating and publishing good content during this month-long Blogging festival. It shall focus more on improving the statistics of my blog site.

So, do come back every Wednesday and Saturday and be a part of my journey to be the biggest loser.

  • We all need something to trigger our slumber thoughts and give something new to do, we all look for opportunities but many times these opportunities come in the form of challenges and we don’t recognize this disguised form of our opportunity. And that is exactly what comes our way when we take up these challenges and wholeheartedly participate, we have the rewards. We also realize how much more we can do and how we have undermined our own potential.

Now that we are in the third week of the challenge, how is it going with you? I am sure you must have ticked most of the “to achieve” points! Wishing you all the best for great drop in Alexa, a great new network of like minded bloggers!

  • Your thoughts are so similar to mine before I took my first blog challenge in April as #A2ZChallenge. I was one lazybone who had kept her blog on the shelf. But it all changed after April and I haven’t looked back. I wish you all the best.

MFA has always been fun. The best part is you are a free bird. Just put your heart and soul in your writing and share it with the world.
