Stan Lee and his memorable Cameos in the Spider-Man series
Stan Lee was the American comics legend who was behind the creation of many Marvel characters. The list goes on from fantastic four to Spider-Man, from Daredevil to the X-Men. He recently died at the age of 95 and left behind not only a formidable creative legacy but also many fun cameos in Marvel movies.
For close to three decades, Stan Lee’s fans have enjoyed his presence in movies on the silver screen, making his presence both fun and pleasant. From fans to Marvel actors, tributes for Stan Lees are pouring-in online, and here’s my humble offering – memorable Stan Lee cameos from the Spider-Man movies.

Stan Lee in Spider-Man (2002)
This was the first Spider-Man movie. Here, we are focussing on the scene where Spider-Man and the Green Goblin face-off for the first time. In the scene, Stan Lee can be seen as a part of the crowd caught up in the ensuing chaos.
As debris was falling during the battle, Stan pulls a young girl safely. Further, in DVD extras, he also appears in a deleted scene. He is a street vendor selling Peter Parker, a pair of sunglasses; He even has a spoken line here “Hey kid, would you like a pair of these glasses?”. But sadly, the scene was deleted from the main movie.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Once again in Spider-Man 2, Stan Lee heroically saves a woman from falling debris as Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus fight it out.
He’s so natural while saving innocent people from falling debris. Moreover, he gets to speak again, “Look out” while saving an innocent civilian in one of the deleted scenes which appears as an extra in the DVD version. Stan Lee has a special cameo, where he shouts, “Look, Spider-Man stole that kid’s sneakers”. Again, this could have been interesting to watch in the main movie, but it got deleted again.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Here surprisingly he isn’t a part of the crowd and ends up with a dialogue that is touching.
In the scene, as Peter Parker was walking through the Times Square, he stops by a sign which read ‘Spider-Man to receive a key to the city.’ Then, Stan Lee approaches Peter Parker and tell him, “You know, I guess one person can make a difference.”

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
In this scene, the Spider-Man and the Lizard fight it out in the library of Peter Parker’s school while Lee remains completely unaware. Stan Lee is busy working at the library, playing music so loud in his headphones that it completely drowns out the violent battle happening just inches away.
This is again an action-packed cameo where the Spider-Man even saves him from a table being thrown in his direction. But Lee was not at all aware of what’s happening, which makes it funny to watch.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
Again in this movie, Stan Lee is amongst the crowd, he is sitting with all the guests at Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy’s graduation ceremony. As Peter Parker slings his way in the function as Spider-Man, he almost forgot to take his mask off. And Stan Lee seems to be the only person who noticed Peter Parker’s quick change out of his Spidey suit. He even points out, saying “I think I know that guy.”
Out of all the cameos mentioned above, my personal favourite was from Spider-Man 3 where he finally gets to speak something nice. Here he isn’t seen dodging debris as he did in the last two instalments of Spider-Man movies. Or being a part of the crowd saying things which most of the people didn’t notice. Here Stan Lee instead delivers a profound piece of advice to Peter Parker, which kind of helped him in taking his next step.

spider man is an iconic series and i always loved the little cameos that came suddenly ! will surely miss these little rendezvous !

This legend’s death was a huge loss!! He has inspired many lives. May his soul RIP!!
There is just something about him and his screen prescence that make us so excited even for those short cameos that he did. Truly a wonderful creator!

Stan Lee cameos are something that will be remembered for a long, long time. Loved all of them, but my favourite too has been his cameo in Spiderman-III.

Stan Lee cameos have always been my personal favorites, not only in spider man but in the Marvel movies too, plus his cameo in the Thor Ragnarok was just killer, he will undoubtedly be missed always.
